Interesting and suspencful chapter.

Plus Im in a College Preparation Advanced Program so all my Classes are harder than the usual.

My school is like automatic collage preperation lol.

But u said you have no teacher and you just lok at the books all day at home?

My mom is like the teacher.

BUT the books are what they use to prepare you for college, and the tests which I gotta send in to THEM of course. It's a hard life.

Guardian Season 3: Corruption
Chapter 59: Still Alive

The laser shot out straight towards Van. It just missed Van, before he noticed it. Hariken angrily tried to force his way though the barrier, but it would not break.

Ken looked up to see what had happened.

Van looked around, amazed that he was still alive.

"What just happened!?" he said. Snipe looke very angry. He aimed toward Ken this time, aiming carefully.

"What's wrong with Ken!?" Novan asked. Ken was still in pain, bleeding slightly from his mouth and bruises on his arms. He had two cuts on his back and his chest. Hiro and Van walked over to Shin.

'Afro-dude....y-your alive!?' Ken said. "Yes, thanks to you, whatever that power was." Van replied. Hiro's eyes were suddenly in a state of shock, as he sensed something. Snipe shot the laser again, but Hiro quickly held out his sword against the laser and it reflected it back at Snipe. Snipe swiftly jumped up and dodged.

'How was his sword able to block my laser!?' Snipe thought to himself. Hiro jumped up in the air and smashed his blade down onto the invisible barrier. A shockwave of sound vibrated from the sword, which shattered the barrier like glass. Raikotsu shot a laser beam from his eye, and Hiro reflected it back, and Raikotsu dodged it. It hit a boulder just behind them that caused a explosion.

Snipe jumped down the cliff and strangely, he safely landed right on his feet. He ran towards Hiro and Van, holding his rifle. He aimed it straight towards Van's head.

"I'm going to end this and kill the Spirit summoner now!" he yelled in anger, holding the gun by it's trigger on one hand. Suddenly, Ken's body burst in a glowing light.

"What!?" Snipe thought to himself.

Ken's body was surrounded by a glowing white light, pulsing around him. His body began to heal.

"What's going on!?" he asked. Mavel looked at him with a smile. "The pain-splittling feather's healing is complete. As a reward for going through so much for Kate, the feather heals the user's wounds completely."

Ken's body felt good as new. An immense spiritual aura surrounded Ken. He grasped his PhoenixBlade and clutched it tightly.

"I'm finally back!" Ken yelled. Snipe looked curiously at him. He reached into his back pocket and pulled out a device that appeared to be a walkie-talkie.

"I'm sorry, sir, but I'm pulling out. The mission was a failure." Raikotsu then beamed a blue laser at Snipe, which pulled him in the air towards him. Raikotsu and Snipe then both began to dissolve into the air, and they disappeared.

"Well, that wasn't a fun comback." Ken said with a wry expression. He walked over to Kate, who had awaken. Her wounds were completely healed, as were Ken's. She got up and immediately hugged Ken, and kissed him on the cheek. Kate began to cry.

"Oh my gosh! I was so scared! And I was being stabbed, and I was in so much pain..but....WAAAAH!" a downpour of tears came from her eyes, as she hugged Ken tightly.

"It's okay Kate....It's okay...you're safe now.." Ken said, embracing Kate. The group gathered, where Ken and Kate were. Novan weeped in despair. His face was tightened in the brink of sorrow. "Novan, whats wrong?" Ken asked, placing his hand on Novan's shoulder. "Kotaro, is in danger. I can sense it. I think he might be........."

Guardian Season 3: Corruption
Chapter 60: Aftermath

Ken, Kate, Hiro, Novan, Hariken, and Van all made it to a safe location back in the Realm of Crystals. Even far away, Kolarin and Enzan sensed that trouble was going on, and went out in search of them. They found Ken and friends just an hour after the devasting assault. The group then headed back to the Crystal Tower. It was a magnificent, tall skyscraper made of pure solid crystal, and it shined with an icy blue color and sparkled like diamonds. Enzan and Kolarin prepared mugs of hot chocolate while the rest lay in a large room that was furnished with couches and beanbag chairs. Ken sat next to Kate in one couch, wrapping bandages around her angle all the way up to her thighs. It turns out that she had broken her leg during the battle. Novan sat in a single chair, looking sad. His head was down and his expression was of a gloomy depression. Van and Hariken sat there bored out of their minds, playing around with a couple of coins they found lying on the coffee table in the middle of the room. Hiro sat in a long couch, with his HeavyBlade lieing down flat across his lap. He carefully observed it, feeling it's new hard-steel texture and shimmering silver appearance. Mavel was stretched out on another couch asleep. For awhile the room was just silent, no one uttering a single word. That silence was then broken by Hariken and Kolarin, both holding mugs in their hands.

"Hot Chocolate anyone?" they both said, handing out the cups to everyone. Ken pulled his hand away in pain after touching the hot mug, but grasped it carefully and began to drink it. Everyone was being refreshed, as today was a cold chilly day. Van put his hot chocolate down on the coffee table and turned towards Ken, addressing him.

"Ken, I'm sorry."

Ken looked at Van with confusion. "For what?"

"Everything. All of this started happening to us because Corruption was out to eliminate me, the last Spirit Summoner. You didn't have to get involved." Van said, his head down in shame. Ken walked over to Van and put his hand on his shoulder, glaring straight into Van's eyes.

"Shutup. It wasn't your fault. They were after me too. What we need to do is figure out what they are planning next." Ken suggested. Novan suddenly jumped up from his seat.

"What about Kotaro!? HE'S GONNA DIE!!!"

Hariken then interrupted.

"NOVAN. You are letting your emotions get the best if you. A warrior must set aside his emotions at times like this. We have more important things to worry about!" Hariken yelled.

Hiro got up and sheathed his blade. He faced towards everyone in the room. "What we all need to do is head back to Earth for now. Corruption seems to be operating in the Spirit Realm so we need to hide out for a while to recover our strength and prepare for the next battle."

"So we're just gonna hide like rats!?" Hariken snapped. "Look, we have to play this carefully. Corruption is tracking us, watching our every move, waiting for the moment to strike. We need to become the hunter, not the prey."

Various debate went around on the subject, with multiple conversations being made. Mavel suddenly awoke, looking grumpy.

"WILL YOU ALL SHUT UP!!!?!" she yelled loudly, falling back on the couch and continuing to sleep. Everyone was in shock, but then agreed to soft whispering.

"Look, going back to Earth is our best option. Besides, we need to find Kotaro. He was investigating the demonic statue and I forgot to keep contact with him. Novan senses that he's in trouble so we must go help him and then we can recooperate to fight Corruption." Hiro said. Everyone was persuaded and agreed with the plan. Preparations were being made to head back to the Spirit Realm Portal.

"Kate, when we get back to Earth, I want you to stay back at Kurokari Town. Just stay home for now." Ken said, grabbing their bags.

"What...? B-but why?"

"It's too dangerous, and you were almost killed that time. I want to keep you safe, so you can't be traveling with us like this." Ken said. Kate started to burst in tears.

"Ken, I don't want you to get hurt either. I want to stay with you through this till the end! Even if I die!"

"Come on Kate. You're making this sound like a dramatic soap opera." Ken said with a laugh.

Kate refused to go back home. Ken had no choice but to continue to allow her on the journey. The group got ready and they traveled back to their destination, aboard Van's majestic dragon Ragnas.

Meanwhile...at Corruption's headquarters...

"Operation Lumberjack failed, Sir." Raikotsu said. Most of the Corruption members showed fear whenever confronting the leader, but he didn't. Neither did Snipe, who had his gun strapped on his back. The leader sad quietly in his chair in the vast dark room. Computer monitors surrounded him, all dimly lit but sending data through each other in various networks. The leader held a glass of red wine and took a sip.

"That's quite alright. We will exterminate those pests soon enough. Now, I need you two to be stationed for a new mission."

"What is your request Sir?" Raikotsu asked.

"You are to be assigned to stand guard in front of the Hoshiryu Space Administration while my other members prepare the X Satellite. No questions asked, just do it until I say otherwise."

Snipe and Raikotsu nodded their heads in agreement, not questioning the leader's request. They walked out of the room.

"Once the X Satellite launches, I will lead society into a new era. A perfect utopia that I will govern!"

The leader took another sip of his wine and stepped out of the room.

Meanwhile...back on Earth

Kotaro's life was slowly fading. Zaraku, Andrew, and Yamiraku had left him for dead. He was bleeding at his chest and at his mouth and his body was scratched up.

"How....how could I lose!?" he thought to himself. His eyes were pale, and he was having trouble breathing.

"If I die, then I'll die standing..." and he struggled to stand up. He held his sword down at the ground and grasped it to support his body. After a few seconds, he fell on his knees. His eyes began to close and he fainted. A drop of rain fell from the sky on his cheek. The single drop soon turned into a light drizzle. The cloudly grey sky had an ominous forboding to them.

At that moment, a young girl was walking down the sidewalk towards where Kotaro was. Her face couldn't be seen but she was holding an umbrella. She wore a traditional Japanese schoolgirl uniform with a navy blue color scheme. She noticed Kotaro's body lying on the ground, and she curiously approached him.

"Oh my. What happened to this guy?" she said. She tried to help him up.

Meanwhile...

"Now that Kotaro is dead, I can be at peace." Yamiraku said. The three were still walking along the cold streets of Kurokari Town. It was 3 AM, and not a soul was outside. It was like a ghost town.

"What was your deal with him anyway? I hate Kotaro too, but you had a detestful wrath of hate towards him. What happened?" Zaraku asked. Yamiraku sighed.

"That's not important right now. Right now we need to find the Dark Volume. You found it last Zaraku, where is it!?"

"I don't know! The Guardians banished it to an unknown part of the Spirit Realm. It'd be like searching for a treasure without a map." Zaraku replied hastily.

"My memory is faint, but I recall there being one Guardian who knew the location of the Dark Volume." Andrew interrupted. Zaraku's mild expression turned into an excited grin. Yamiraku was still emotionless and boring on the outside, but satisfied within.

"Well then, we'll just have to do a little bit of snooping then. To the Spirit Realm then!" Zaraku yelled. Yamiraku's eyes widened in shock.

"The Spirit Realm..." he said to himself, "I remember those days..."

Ken and friends were just miles away from the main region of the Spirit Realm.

yea but the villain who sipped red wine in this chapter was the SAME villain who did in that other chapter. He always drinks red wine. ^_^
