Episode 38: High Noon


A Claire-centric episode



Valon came in to talk with the prisoners. He wanted to see if he could get any information out of them. To his surprise, he found an unconscious Alister lying on the ground and saw no sign of Tyler. Valon helped Alister up and managed to wake him. He asked Alister what had happened but Alister couldn’t tell him anything, Valon then glanced over at Jake. He asked him if he knew anything. Jake replied "Yeah, I saw exactly what happened, but of course, I ain’t gonna be spilling it to you, at least, not without a price." Valon said, "What do you want you slime?" Jake said, "Freedom, unchain me and let me go and Ill tell you whatever you desire." Valon said "Ah the heck with you, we don’t need your useless info, Ill get it some other way." As Valon turned to walk out, Jake asked him "I could tell you, but really, I don’t think you want to know." Valon said "Try me, now spill it."


Claire enjoyed the sunlight of a new morning. While Ed went to make his rounds, she stayed at his place and relaxed. Suddenly she heard a knock at the door. She opened it up and it was Kelly. She invited her in. Kelly heard about what had happened the previous day and asked if she was all right. Claire asked Kelly "It seems you got shot the other day. Do you think it could’ve been the same person who tried to kill me and Ed?" Kelly replied, "No, I doubt it. Ken said that the person who shot us wouldn’t be coming back. I highly doubt it was her. It’s probably just someone else in that sick cult of Ganner's. So how are you doing?" Claire replied, "I’m doing fine, all things considered anyway." The two talked on as the morning turned into noon.

CLAIRE FLASHBACK

Claire flashed back to 1-year prior. She was a happy schoolgirl living in New Jersey. Little did she know that her life was about to change, one afternoon as she was walking home from school? She was enjoying the nice breeze when suddenly a girl ran up to her and said, "Please, you have to help me." Claire, saying that the girl was hurt, hurried her to her home and rushed her up to he room. After she treated the girl’s injuries, she asked her "So how did you end up like this?" The girl answered "He, he tried to kill me." Claire asked, "Who is he? And who are you?" The girl said, "My name is Kendra Anderson. That boy, Tyler. He dragged me into this cult but I saw how sick he and his boss were and after a month, I wanted out, but he wouldn’t let me leave. When I tired to make a run for it, he attacked me. He tried to kill me but I luckily managed to escape." Claire asked, "So what exactly about this cult crept you out, and why did you join in the first place?" Kendra replied, "I never fit in, in my school, I was always being picked on. Tyler promised me that I would fit in there, but I didn’t. After I met his boss, Ganner, I just felt a great evil. The guy sent us out on assignments to kill people. I never killed anybody but I witnessed Tyler kill 3 people, for absolutely no reason at all. I didn’t want to be a part of something so horrible. So I tried to leave that place but apparently, they don’t let anyone leave alive." Claire asked, "Well, what do you plan to do now? I mean that guy is after you." Kendra said, "I really don’t know what I’m going to do. All I know is that I cant stay here." Suddenly bullet flew through the window, hitting and instantly killing Kendra. Then Claire was struck in the shoulder and collapsed. Before she passed out, she a shadow approaching her. She felt herself being picked up. After this, she passed out."

As the day continued on, the survivors went about their now usual routines. Ryo stayed by Sho's side almost always, he only ever left his side to shower and use the restroom. Sho was still in a deep coma. But Ryo helps out hope that he would eventually come out of it. He swore revenge against Ganner for hurting his little brother and vowed to kill him when his brother was well again. He took Sho's hand and said to him "Come on Bro, you can do this, come back to me."


Valon began to grow impatient with Jake, who was consistently avoiding the question that Valon kept asking him. Valon began to grow impatient. He grabbed Jake and said, "LISTEN, EITHER YOU TELL ME WHO TOOK THAT JERK TYLER RIGHT NOW, AND ILL SNAP YOUR NECK. REMEMBER, YOU ARNT THE ONLY ONE WHO USED TO BE IN A CULT, SO TELL ME NOW!" Jake laughed and said, "Very well, you asked for it. The person who knocked out Alister and released that very dangerous and oh so unpredictable Tyler was none other than your now ex-girlfriend Alexis. I don’t know what got into that girl but I swear on my life that it was her." Valon said, "NO, You’re lying, Alexis would never do something like that." Jake said, "Well, you haven’t seen her around since you returned, I guess you didn’t know her as well as you thought." Valon let go of Jake and left the room.


Meanwhile, Alexis and Tyler were walked into a dark room. Alexis said, "Ok, Ive done what you asked me, what’s my next assignment?" Than a small light lit up the room and a voice said "Your next assignment? Your next assignment is to kill a certain boy you used to know, he currently goes by the name of Valon." Alexis replied "Very well sir." She walked out of the room. Tyler asked the owner of this mysterious voice "So what are your plans with her?" The voice is than revealed to be none other than that of Ganner. Ganner said in reply "Oh trust me, I have big plans for her, very big plans." EXTERMINATION TO BE CONTINUED...
