Chapter 1 (Suko, the Unknown kid)

Suko Taki was the new kid in town. A typical nobody with few friends, all of which happened to be his cards. He loved his cards because they always seemed to be like him. He would keep them in boxes and he would hide the box in a place only he knew about. He held his monsters up to his face.

"You guys are the only friends I seem to be able to keep." He said as the cards stared him in the face.

"Hey Kid!" some kid yelled at Suko. "Why are you over here talking to your cards? you some kind of punk kid not good enough for REAL friend?"

"N..no it's not like.." He said stuttering until he was interupted by the kid again.

"Listen you...since you seem to like these so much and not wanna hang out with actual people..you and I are gonna duel. We'll see if these cards off yours are actually worth you having no REAL friends." he said frequently putting emphasis on the word real.

"W..Well I guess so..." he said thinking back to every duel he's ever had, he had never won once. The kid pulled out hs deck and they set up the duel.

"Duel!" the both said. They both draw 5 cards and look at their hands considering the possibilities. "I'll go first." the kid said rather angry. He drew card. and looke throuhgh his hand again. "I'll summon Fire Hatchling in attack mode, next I'll use his specail ability to sacrifice it and special summon Pyrosaurus Rex. Next I'll play one card face-down and that'll do it for me." The kid said with a particularly evil smirk.

"A..Alright." Suko said. "I'll summon Unknown Serpent in attack mode and now I'll use his power to remove your monster from the game for 2 turns. Next..I'll play one card face-down and the spell card dimensional death call which takes your Pyrosaurus and puts him in the graveyard instead and he won't come back. Next my Serpent will attack you directly. The kid's lifepoints reduce down to 7900.

Kid:3900
Suko:4000

"A minor brush compred to what I'm gonna do to you." he drew his card and glanced at his hand before saying. "I summon Guardian Statue - Fire in attack mode and guess what he's immune to all spell and trap cards along with every Fire attribute monster I summon now. Now attack his Serpent!" his monster is destroyed and his lifepoints are dropped 1500.

Kid:3900
Suko:2500

"grr..ok well then it's my turn." Suko drew his card and said. "I guess...I'll summon Unknown Warrior in attack mode. next...I'll...." Don't give up Suko..you can do this Suko heard through his head where did that come from? Suko wondered in his mind. trust me Suko I'll help you
he heard and he felt a new wave of confidence flow through him. "I'll play the Spell card Dark Heart's Turn now I get to change all dark monsters I summon to a different attribute and for my Unknwon Warrior I'll choose Fire, so now my monster is also immune to spell and trap cards. now she'll attack your statue. The statue is destroyed and the kid's life points drop.

"So? I'm still ahead. My draw." he draws his card and then says. "I play simple summoning now I can summon one monster in my hand as long as it has 1500 points or less and then I can bring out any cards with the same name from my deck." Two fire hatchlings are summoned to the field. "Now I tribute them both to bring out two Knight of Ancient Flame. His attack points are equal to the number of Fire attribute monsters in my graveyard times 1000 last time I looked there was 5 my 3 fire hatchlings, my Guardian Statue and my Pyrosaurus." His knight's ATK raise to 5000. "But I don't need that many attack points. Because it's much better to have a card like this. I remove my 3 fire hatchlings from the game to summon Megaflame Phoenix!" he smirked with an evil sneer.

"I activate Unknown Aura!" suko said "Now you cannot conduct your battle phase this turn, which means my points are safe." He said thanking the voice in his head for the plan.

"Well I'll just end my turn then. But my Phoenix has a special power you lose 500 points at the end of each of my turns." He said keeping his rather scary smirk.

Didn't see that coming Suko thought to himself. Don't worry the voice said.there is one card that can save us. Let's just hope we draw it
"My move." Suko said. he looked at the card he drew and smiled. This is the card right? Suko said talking to the voice. That's it..now let your cards help you from here. "Alright I'll start off with Heavy Storm! destroying all of your spell and traps." he said to the kid tougher then he ever had before. "Now I'll end this duel now with the spell card Unknown Alter this card allows me to look for one monster in my deck and summon it, but I have to send all of the cards on top of it into the graveyard." He picks up his deck. "It appears that the card I want is on the very bottom of my deck which means if I don't when this turn you'll automatically win, but I don't think I'll have to worry. the carfd I choose is Unknwon Creature and this card's attack and defense are equal to the number of Unknown monsters in my graveyard times 500!" He said counting the unknown monsters he just discarded. "I count 19 which equals a grand total of 9500 attack points. now destroy his Megaflame Phoenix." the Phoenix is destroyed and the kid's lifepoints drop to 0.

"I won't forget this kid...we'll meet again and you can bet I won't lose next time." The kid stood up and ran off. As he ran Suko stood still.

"I won...I actually won..." He said emotionless. He grew into a smile. "Yes I won a duel!" Um....you're welcome? the voice said slightly irritated he/she never got a 'thanks'. oh yeah thanks. who are you anyway? he asked never really finding out. I'm about the fifth card down in your deck. Suko picked up the deck and flipped through it, finding his Unknown Master card to be the fifth. well then....thanks Unknown Master. Suko walked away enjoying his newfound confidence and victory.

Ok this ends chapter 1 a little fyi this is my first fanfic so go somewhat easy on me.

so this is a yugioh fic? Its good.

FINALLY a MEMBER on this forum who ACTUALLY makes fanfics besides JNinja, me, and Showcreator. Hopefully you read fanfics too, cause no one else here does! Cool Yu-Gi-Oh fanfic. I like Suko, seems like a cool main character for the series.

Chapter 2 (Friends are found in Unknown places)

Suko sat on his bad flipping through his cards again, speaking to them like friends, mostly because they were, he recently found out. So do you you now why my spirit was brought to you? The spirit of Unknown Master said inside his head. All spirits are brought to their "leaders" for specific reasons

"Honestly I have no clue, but it must be important..." Suko said looking at his Unknown Master card. The spirit of the monster had shown in front of him. "Ah!" he said falling over. "How do you do that?" He said getting back onto his feet.

It's a secret only duel spirits know. Unknown Master had said as he had "sat" on Suko's bed. Now let's think... He said before being interupted by Suko's mom yelling up the stairs.

"Suko! Time for school!" His mom yelled. She had been waiting for him to come downstairs for a few minutes now, since he was typically down before she was. She hadn't had to call him in a while. Suko had slipped his shirt on and ran downstairs.

"OK mom I'm here, don't worry I'm not gonna be late." He said grabbing his slice of toast and taking a quick bite into it. "Well at least not if we leave right now." he said his mouth partially full and looking at the clock. He quickly grabbed and yelled. "Come on mom!" He said after swallowing his bite.

His mom had quickly come and dropped him off at school. As Suko walked up the school. "Another great day of school." He said less sarcastic than usual but still a hint a sarcasm. "It may be a little better with you around UM." He whispered using Unknown Master's initials because calling him Master sounded odd. He walked up into class and sat down in his seat.

"Good morning class." His teacher, Ms. Feelers, said as she walked into the class. The class responded with the typical 'hello's and 'good morning's. "Today I have wonderful news." several whispers were heard about what it was. "We have a new student, his name is Zeke Baxter..I hope you will treat him with the same respect I treat you." A kid walked into the room with a deck box attached to his belt. "Zeke you can have the seat next to Suko. Back Row by the window." The kid walked over and took his seat.

After about 50 minutes the school had entered it's free period. Suko walked over to the new kid. "Nice to meet you I'm Suko, I guess you are Zeke." he said. The kid remained silent, but Suko had still been smiling until he realized he wasn't going to speak. Suko had tried to find something to talk about and he had noticed the deck box on his belt. "Hey are you a duelist?" he asked delighted, since he couldn't get many duels in the school.

The kid nodded his head slowly. "so would like to duel?" Suko stated. the kid got up slowly from his seat and grabbed his deck. they had laid out the playing mats. "So who goes first?" he asked, but all the kid did was point at Suko. "Alright then." he drew his hand and considered his options. "Alright I'll start off with my Unknown Beast in attack mode." He said placing the card on the field. "And a face-down card and that'll do."

The kid drew his cards and glanced across them. "I'll summon Training Puppet in attack mode." he said lightly. Suko took question at his moves seeing as how the monster only had 500 points. "Next I'll use it's ability to summon another monster, so I sacrifice it for my Training Puppet for Marionette Master." he said. "Now he'll attack your Beast." The beast is destroyed and sent to the grave.

Suko:3400
Zeke:4000

"I'll activate my trap card Unknown Resurrection, so my monster returns to the field." Suko said.

"Well I'll just end with a face-down." he sad placing his card and leaving Suko to his turn.

Suko drew his caard and said "I'll sacrifice my Beast for my Unknown Captain. And if that weren't enough I play Premature Burial to bring back my Beast." He looked at his cards smiling. "Next I'll equip my captain with Unknown Armor." he considered the bad outcomes of this duel, since he had heard about the dangers of a puppet deck. "Fine my beast will attack you directly, after I reduce it's attack by 1000." since the attack was successful he had assumed it was safe to attack. Now my Captain attack his Marionette Master." Both monsters were destroyed from the tie in strength.

Suko:3400
Zeke:3200

"Now my armor will....." he said before Zeke interupted. "I activate my trap card Puppet's Revenge, normally this would destroy the monster that attacked but you already did that so I'll just use the other half summon one puppet or Marionette monster in my deck. So i'll bring out my Morphing Marionette."

Suko then said "Ok well let's see what to do now...I'll just set one card and end my turn." He said letting Zeke take his turn.

"Well I guess I'll have my Marionette attack your beast." The Marionette is destroyed. "His effect protect my life points and now my Marionette's core is left behind which will turn into the Morphing Marionette - Knight. Now my KNight will dstroy your beast." The beast is destroyed.

Suko:3200
Zeke:3200

"Ok and since we have a tie game I guess 'll end with a face-down." He said as he placed his card.

maybe we can win like we did our last duel. Unknown Master said in Suko's head. "alright my move, so I'll draw and then play Unknown Altar, which let's me draw until I draw a monster of my choosing. Now the card I get is Unknown creature and i discard all of these cards. He says discarding about 7/8 of his deck. "Now I'll summon my Unknown creature and according to my count I have 18 monsters in my graveyard which means 9000 ATK points. Now my Creature attack his Knight." The Knight is sent to the graveyard. "I win."

Zeke sat smiling. "Not quite when my Knight is destroyed I take no damage and my Morphing Marionette - Beast is summoned." this sentence made Zeke slightly angry. "Well I'll end with 2 face-downs." Suko said.

Zeke drew his card and said, well my Beast is unaffected by Spell and Trap cards so I'm going to attack...."

Zeke responded with a quick "I don't think so I activate my Unknown Aura so I'm saved this turn." He said and Zeke quickly ended his turn. Suko drew his card and said. "OK I win this turn. I'll start off with my Unknown Serpent and his ability lets me remove your Marionette from play for 2 turns, but it saves me because now my Creature will attack you directly and that means I win."

Suko:3200
Zeke:0000

"good job Suko, and yeah I'm Zeke. Nice duel." he said holding his hand out. Suko quickly shook it. "Well it's nice to hear you talking." Suko said. The schools bell quickly rang. "Well free time is over guess I'll talk to you later." Suko said. They both nodded and sat back down in there chairs listening to what Ms. Feelers had to say.
