Nah, it's not region blocked. You can trade and battle people from anywhere in the world. I had traded a level 41 Honchkrow for a level 49 Aipom, and that person was in Japan.

If I ever get WiFi working, I'll be trading a lot to complete my Pokedex.

The game really is great,and the new pokemon selection is awesome.I need to play it more!!!!

Definetly the most unique gen, with over 20 Pokemon not even in the Sinnohdex. Plus 4 event Poke this time and a LOT more Legendaries than usual. But with Arceus coming out, how can they top that next gen?

Anyone notice the subsequent lack of Fire-type pokemon in the game lately? Think about it. Ever notice in Diamond and Pearl there are only THREE fire-type pokemon that you can catch alone? That's Chimchar/Monferno/Infernape, Ponyta/Rapidash, and Heatran. That means only TWO new fire type pokemon were made in Diamond and Pearl. Only...TWO, out of the 100s of new pokemon made. Then with evolving, only Magmortar was made. So in general that's only FOUR fire type pokemon that you can get alone in diamond and pearl.

And in Ruby and Sapphire, only THREE new fire types were made, Torchic/Combusken/Blaziken, Torkoal, and Numel/Camerupt.

I hate that the game doesn't have alot of fire types. I mean, it's just wierd how they don't come up with new ideas for fire type pokemon. There are more BUG type pokemon than fire type pokemon in the game...the creators of pokemon really should make more fire types next gen i mean it's not fair.

Hmmmmmm, maybe because Fire Types are limited in creativity. IDK. All I know is that when we do get a Fire Type, its a good one. We should be grateful for that. Fire types have always been less plentiful than most types. I guess it mak them more special/

NOTHING is limited in creativity. Your imagination can expand to endless possibilities! They could come up with many ideas for fire-types if they tried hard enough or even more dual types with fire (imagine a fire/water dual type LOL steam....)

and pokemon has really gotten uncreative with the fire types though i mean why did the 4th gen starter have to be fire/fighting that's just like blaziken. it's boring. they should have made a different dual type for the fire starter i mean we got water/steel and grass/ground.

Maybe because Fire is a strong type, one of the strongest. Maybe they don't want to make too many fire types because they want them to be rare. I happen to like Inernape a lot tho. Who knows, maybe next gen we'll get a lot of fire types. But if you look back, Fire types have never been plentiful.

Fire is NOT a strong type. It's far from it. The strongeest types of pokemon out there IMO are ground, dragon, flying, and ice types. There are 92 water-type pokemon currently in the game but only 33 fire types. Does that really seem fair?

No, but fire is still a strong type. I've always liked Fire types. I think its just a lot easier to make water types, due to environment.
