Really the only ones I like are Turtwig [although I do like Naetoru better], Chimchar [sounds funny], Skorupi, and Stunky!

True, there was nothing wrong with Skorpi, but... Skorupi is fun to say, same for Turtwig and Chimchar. Sickly Twisted

Looks like you'll actually want to evolve Piplup. Actually, you have to evolve it two times before it gets a better name. Or you could just nickname it.

My absolute hated one is Piplup. That's just awful! I call this "Imaginary Creature Abuse"

These names are probably just as original as the first series. Take a look:
Turtwig: turtle and twig
Bulbasaur: Bulb (like a flower bulb) and Dinosaur
Piplup: I think it's pip (like a pip of a penguin) with plup, like the sound effect of dropping something small in the water
Squirtle:Squirt and turtle
Chimchar: Chimpanzee and Charred
Charmander: Charred and salamander

Kinda see the point? Back then when we all were kids we didn't care what they sounded like, we ended up liking them anyways. I'm sure you'll grow us to all these names.

Its not the starters that tick me off that much, its the Korinku Family names. Oy ve they are horrid. And was there a need to change Beequeen's name? Or Mitsuhoney?
