Episode 55: Good for What Ails Ye

A Ken-centric episode, but no flashback



Hours had passed since the group set out on the journey to rescue their friends. They could find no trace of any life whatsoever. At some point, Ken called Ed aside to have a talk with him; He said to him "OK, I'm telling you this because I trust you. Our shrimpy little leader, Sho, seems to have this foolish idea that we're just going to rush in there and claim our friends from Ganner, but you and I both know that's crap. This is it, the big battle, we're either gonna win it or lose it all on this one, there are no do-overs, no next times." Ed asked, "Ok, so what’s your point? What do you want me to do about it?" Ken replied, "When we get there, regardless of what the others want to do, I want to be able to count on you to help me out if I need you. When we get there, once we know that everyone is alive, I'm going for Ganner. I'm not going to rest until he’s dead. So I want you to back me up." Ed said, "Hmm, one problem with you plan. Ganner can’t be killed. He can’t be stabbed, can’t be shot, how do you propose that we kill him?" Ken said "Well, I got a plan for that too, I say we blow the son of a gun sky high."


Jaden and Bella were right behind Sho, leading the rest of the group. Sho asked Jaden, "So, I don't think I’ve been properly introduced to your friend Jaden, you mind?" Jaden replied "Oh right, Bella this is Sho, Sho this is Bella. Ok that's all your getting from me." Bella walked ahead of Sho. She said to him, "Your kinda cute. And I like how you’re going all leader on us, I want a man who can hold his own." Jaden grabbed Bella and pulled her back saying "Alright missy, enough flirting. You’re lucky you’re on this thing Bella, don't make me leave you behind, I still don't trust you one hundred percent." Bella replied "Well, that's your problem, don't punish me cause your slow." The two continued to squabble as Sho quietly continued to lead the small group towards their destination, wherever that was.

Ryo and Kelly walked near the end of the group. Kelly asked Ryo "Hey, remember that car you hit me with a ways back? Whatever happened to it?" Ryo replied "That ole thing? I forgot all about it. I stole it from Ganner. Unfortunately, the tank is empty. That thing was not only old, but now it has no gas. That thing is about as useful to us as a knife in out backs. And sorry about the, accident." Kelly said "All is forgiven, just don't do it again." The two laughed as the group continued on.

Valon, and Aaron were in the middle of the group. Valon said to Aaron, "So, what made you ask Sho to form this little group? What makes you think we'll have any luck finding our friends, if they are even still alive." Aaron replied, "I don't know, it’s just something that I feel I need to do. I really don't know if any of them are still alive. For all I know, Ganner could have killed them all. I most certainly would not put it past the *******." Valon said, "Watch your mouth. Anyway, I hope you’re prepared. I mean, you honestly aren't expecting Ganner to have them lain out in the middle of the street do you?" Aaron replied "No, of course it isn't gonna be that easy. We aren't nearly that lucky." Aaron suddenly began to grab his head. Valon asked, "Are you alright man? You ain't looking so well." Aaron replied, "No, no, I'm fine. Probably just nervous about this whole thing. I'm fine. Don't, worry about" All of a sudden, Aaron coughed up a bit of blood and collapsed. Valon called out to everyone. "Stop everyone, we got a problem here."

Everyone gathered around Aaron. Ed quickly rushed over to see what was wrong with him. After a few minutes of examination, Ed said, "He has it too. The same thing Brier had, Aaron has the same thing." Valon asked "So what are we gonna do about it? It’s too late to take him back. We don't even know what exactly he has or how to treat it?" Ed said "All I know is that if he doesn't get help soon, he’s dead. And moving him all the way back would kill him. He needs to be kept still, so we have to find something we could use for a shelter that's nearby." Bella replied "Well, that sounds like a brilliant idea. Why don't you snap your fingers and make a hospital appear?" Jaden said "Shut the hell up Bella, this is a serious matter." Bella replied, "I know its serious jackass." Ed said "STOP FIGHTING YOU TWO! We don't have time to fight. He needs to get to shelter, and he needs to get there FAST." Suddenly, a voice interrupted the group, saying "I can help you, if you'll let me." Everyone turned around. Ken said "Its you." The voice belonged to none other than Ririko, and she was holding a baby. She said, "Long time no see, huh Ken?" EXTERMINATION TO BE CONTINUED...
