Here is my new series Shukumei Apprentice! It was formerly Roiyaru Relics but I have changed the plot immensely and the story flow has changed. I will eventually post the other chapters some time late this month sense I’m going on vacation. I hope you enjoy it and as of now I’m up for criticism. I am up for suggestions and I will try my best to give this story its full potential. I have faith in its storyline and I believe this will be my main series. Although the airing schedule for this series will be Saturday I’m posting this now before I go away.Chapter 2 should come early in the morning tommorow IF I have time.But I might be back from Vacation on like the 15th or sumthing so I'll get the Posting. Enjoy!

Chapter 1: Your Destiny Awaits

It was a sunny afternoon, just about 2:45. Mitosaka Junior High’s dismissal time had just passed and students ran freely out to there homes, Parks, Arcades, Restaurants, The Mall, and the hot hangout spots just as teenagers do. One teen wearing a long sleeve silver shirt with red trim, Long Black Cargo pants, and White/red Sneakers. He had semi-spiky long light brown hair and stone colored brown eyes. He ran out faster than everyone else. He was always the adventurous type. His name was Kaido Hajime. Although he went to school in the Town section of Tokyo he lived in the City section because his Sister couldn’t afford to send him to any schools in the City section.

“Hope Sis is home. We’re supposed to go to the Kozari Amusement Park! Gotta hurry! “Kaido nervously said.

Kaido ran all the way to the City and was stopped by an odd old woman. “Oh, sorry Ms. Are you ok?” Kaido asked cautiously.
She began to raise her head and then speak. “Yes, I’m fine child. But it was fate that brought you here.” She spoke in a slow rugged tone. She was a Tan complexion, her eyes were a Faint green and blue, she wore a green sweater, her hair was a snowy white color and her skin had deep wrinkles.

“Uhhmm……. I’m pretty much in a hurry and as much as I would like to believe what you just said, I can’t because I don’t believe much in destiny” Kaido said as he tried to run back to his house.

But the old woman gripped his shoulder before he could step any further.
“No young child. Destiny is pretty much real and you will have to except it. Hmmm…… seems that you have an interesting fate. Very interesting indeed” She told Kaido as she slowly examined him.
“No, really I don’t believe in fate and I really have to go.”Kaido said.

He tried to run around her but his feet wouldn’t move. It was like a paralysis.

“What the heck!?” Kaido was puzzled. The woman began to chuckle. “You see, you cannot escape fate, and now the prophecy will be revealed.” The

Woman then disappeared, in a shroud of darkness. The domain began to change into a realm of darkness. Kaido still couldn’t move.

“Now this is really giving me the creeps!! Where am I? Wherever I am, even though I’m scared out of my life, this is kinda cool! I feel like I’m in a video game!!”Kaido excitedly said.

“This is far from a game. This is real, Kaido Hajime. Your Destiny Awaits and the prophecy will be made.”A voice sounded. It sounded like a Woman’s voice but extremely powerful. It echoed across the shadowy horizon.

”Who’s there!?” Kaido whimpered in fear and excitement. “How do you know my name? What is this Prophecy? Why did you call me here? I think I’m dreaming…”

“You’re not dreaming. This is indeed real. We have summoned you here to the Court of Fate simply to tell you of your Destiny. You are one of many chosen ones on this Earth, to be a Shukumei Apprentice. You have been chosen by the Heavens and the Prophets of Ways to carry out this duty. Your Fate as a Shukumei Apprentice is very valuable. Your job is to rid this world of Destined Dark Forces that roam this world as we know it. Your like a Superhero Per say. You will encounter death, tragedy, and much more. The way of an S.Apprentice is not an easy road, but child you have been gifted. Fate is not an easy thing to gulp down, but you must accept it to unlock the true power you have inside.” The Voice told Kaido.

“I really must be dreaming. I mean for all of this to happen to me? I doubt it, but adventure is my thing. But I do have a few questions. Where are you? What is this So called “Court Of Fate”? Why would the Heavens pick me? Lastly who are the Prophets of Fate?”Kaido asked.

“You have been chosen because you have the hidden potential. You were just gifted with it. It was your destiny. This is not a dream, and accept that. Accept your fate, then you will not live a life of confusion. The Court Of Fate is the realm your in right now. You are discovering the prophecy, and it was my job to tell you. I am just a mere free spirit. You cannot see me right now, but you probably will later. I am a Code-Spirit and my destiny is to tell people like you their Fates. After all Shukumei is Fate in Japanese. You are Fates Apprentice. We all have Destinies but some don’t follow them. Follow your Destiny, and you’ll understand much more. The Prophets of Ways are like Certified Angels If you will. They played a roll in picking you. Now I must go and you will discover there are many things to do and the fate of the world rests in not only your hands but every Apprentice. Don’t be one to mess up. Good bye, Kaido…”The Spirit Said.

“Wait!? Where are you going!? I don’t even know your name. Wow this is weird. Probably just another dream. Well, I gotta go home!”Kaido said. The darkness began to fade and he was in the normal world. It was Nighttime, and Kaido looked at his watch.

“What!? Its 8:35! I was there that long. Wait a second, if that was a dream wouldn’t I have woke up already? Weird, maybe I was daydreaming well, whatever it was pretty interesting while it lasted. But Fate? Odd but very interesting. Like Im in a Video Game or an Anime!? That would be awesome. But I gotta hurry!! Sis is probably mad at me. She’s probably worried sick!”Kaido said.

He dashed his way on home. He was almost home just until a shadow dashed in front of him.

“What was that?”Kaido said nervously. Suddenly the Shadow jumped at Kaido forcing him to the ground. Kaido closed his eyes for a second. When he opened them a Man in a Black Mask was on top of him pressing a knife to his throat. “Die Apprentice!”The Mysterious figure shouted.

And great story! I think it all went a little too fast, I mean the explanations about him being the Shukumei apprentice and his destiny and all that so it got a little confusing. Great first chapter though. It's a much improved and great rewrite from Roiyaru.

Lol! hahahah!!! You fell into my plan!!!! You'll see what happens. I'll explain in much more detail in further chapters!

He knew he was an Apprentice since he was 7 Years Old. So he has his share of experience. He doesnt automatically take a liking to Kaido, but giving him a some time he befriends him.

Chapter 2: Shadow’s Ambitions

Kaido opened his eyes only to see a mysterious man on top of him, pledging a razor sharp silver knife to his throat. Kaido couldn’t move. The mysterious figure wore pure black so you couldn’t read his identity.

”Ready to die kid?” The man said in a minatounis voice. “Get off me!! Who are you!?” Kaido screamed in fear. The man started to laugh and plunged the knife closer to Kaido’s throat.

“Lets just say I have a hatred for Apprentices. You guys always interfering with other peoples business, trying to play Super Hero all the time. Destiny isn’t on your side this time, punk.” “ What? What is with you people in Destiny? I don’t understand at all. Please don’t hurt me!” Kaido pleaded.

“So you don’t believe your fate? How sad. Oh well, I guess it would be an easier kill then I thought. The blood of an Apprentice is always good enough fo-“Before he could say anymore, an object darted through the air and forced the man back.

“Huh? What happened?” Kaido wondered he carefully stood up and straightened himself out. When he looked to the left, to see the man was bleeding with a small dagger attached to a chain lunged into his heart and another into his skull. Purplish blood fell to the ground instantly creating a pool of blood the color of darkness. He appeared to be dead. In a matter of seconds he disintegrated into a black dust.

“What the?” Kaido thought to himself. “Hmmm. An apprentice who can’t protect himself and won’t accept why he’s on this earth. What a sad sight. I should’ve just let you die, good thing it’s against my policy.” A voice sounded. Kaido turned around to see a man standing about 7 feet away from him.

He appeared to be in his late Teens. He was about 5’10; He was pretty muscular, Had long Red hair tied into a Pony-Tail, Grayish colored Pants with chains concealed around them, A Black Leather Vest, and smooth Sneakers. “Hmph! Are you another one who’s gonna lecture me about this “Destiny” business? If you are you can save it. You didn’t even have to save me if that’s the case.”Kaido angrily said. The boy just gave a laugh and started to smile.

“Yeah your probably right. I should’ve just yet that shadow rat kill you. Sorry, I didn’t you just look so pitiful I couldn’t resist.”

Kaido begun to get angry because the man had took what he said as a joke. He began to clench his fist into a ball and began to distance himself away from the man. “You think this is a joke!? I didn’t get angry the first time I was lectured about it. “Fate” to me is just dumb. Its not my fate to do anything. Even if you are telling the truth, I don’t wanna be part of your little “Apprentice” business if Im gonna end up murdered like the guy you just killed. I don’t even know why Im talking to you, you would never understand what “Fate” means to me. Your just a complete stranger!” Kaido yelled in anger and began to walk away in frustration.

“Well, I guess your right. There’s no point in me talking to a dumb brat like you. Stubborn little brats like you cramp my style anyways. If you wanna die and not accept your destiny for whatever stupid reason you might have about your task, go right ahead. Im not here to be a teacher or a parent so catch’ya later brat. Oh by the way if you ever change your mind, my name is Kojiro. Peace” Kojiro explained and he began to go on his own path.

Kaido started to tremble immensely and tears began rolling down his eyes.

“People like you would never understand. The pain I went through to accept what was done. The agony done to my heart, my soul, my family…..” Kaido blurted.

Kojiro immediately stopped in curiosity. “What do you mean?”

“What he said about fate. His fate was darkness, shadows, and a world of evil. The person I called a sibling betrayed me, tortured me, he destroyed what you would call a family bond. It broke not only my heart but my Mothers, My Father’s, My Sister’s…… Him…….Why did it happen???? WHY!!!?!?!?!?!?!?” Kaido explained. He cried immensely with tears harshly rolling down the curbs of his cheekbone. The liquid soothing worsened Kaido’s emotion.

“Hmmmm….Guess we have a mystery whine box here.” Kojiro sighed. “Shutup you big dummy!!! Fate tore my family apart and I won’t let that happen anymore!! Go save the stupid world and leave me alone!”Kaido ran all the way back home, no turning back.

“I hope he deals with his mental issues, soon. Cause if he doesn’t he’ll be dead…”Kojiro said to himself

Meanwhile………..
“Uhmmm…Akuto-Sama? The grunt you sent to assassinate the boy, was murdered by your Nephew Kojiro. So the grunt had an early funeral. But are you sure this boy is the one we’re looking for? I mean he doesn’t even believe his task. He has no power for that whatsoever.” One Man said to a man standing in a room of darkness. The man in the roon was sitting in a gloomy gray chair as he glanced at an old rugged Scroll. The Man looked up at the person speaking and gave him a stern glare.

“Yes I’m sure. He doesn’t believe it now but he will. We’ll just have to force him. We have to push him to his limits and he will crack. Shozuro will be the perfect one to torture it out of him. We’ll send Shozuro out to abduct the boy and torture him until he’s forced to fight back. Or else he can just die. Either way he’ll be useful to me or he can get out of my way. We’ll also find a way to punish Kojiro. We’ll show the Apprentices and the world that Shadows Bite…..”The master maliciously explained. He then began to show off distinct white serrated fangs at the hilts of his mouth. His then stern glare turned into a Blood-thirsty smirk.
